    Cavity Treatment

    Tooth decay is the process by which bacteria in the mouth gradually erode a tooth;

    depending on where it occurs and how wide and deep it is,

    the treatment method and restorative material differ.

    Types of cavity treatment

    From resin for small cavities

    to extraction and implants for large ones,

    treatment progresses accordingly.

    Inlays & Onlays

    In-lay & On-lay

    From “in-lay” to “on-lay”, the terms mean the area covering the tooth after decay removal becomes larger.

    Materials include ceramic and gold. Gold is strong, but because it is less esthetic and can lead to tooth fracture, ceramic — which offers both esthetics and strength — is widely used today.
